There is a lot of information on the Internet about Islaam. I find it more appropriate to give links to some of the pages I found helpful, with some comments. I hope this will help.

Note: Please let me know if you find a broken link or if a link doesn't exist anymore.

Moonsighting:
I find the following sites very helpful in finding the moon phases, especially, during the month of Ramadan and the month of Hajj. Remember that the Muslim Umma's unity is far more important than any other issue.
FIQH:
I was verifying the availability of these web sites the other day and realized that, frankly, I was not confident about them. The question came into my mind that, do we really know who are the persons running these sites? In my opinion, these sites are not for a person with little islamic knowledge. He/she might get confused or might start following a contoversial path. After all, these are the opinions/'Fatwa' of one/some person(s). It is always advisable to check the following:
1) Who answers the questions - His credibility, qualification, affiliation
2) The 'musluk'(Hanafi, Shafai etc.) he follows - This is very important that we follow a single Imam
3) Don't just stick to a single answer to your question (You might see different answers to your question at different sites - Don't just follow the answer that fulfills your need). Do further studies. What have hundred and thousands of Ulama have said about the subject/issue from our prophet (blessings of Allah be upon him) upto this date.
Islamic Financing:
Now you may own a house or a car, in USA, by not getting involved in 'riba'. You might have read the 'fatwa' by so and so 'Mufti' in favor of Riba, BUT, brothers and sisters, Riba is HARAM by any standard. Owning a house is NOT a life and death situation. Think of 'the house' you will have to own in hell, and forever.
Halal/Haram:
This is one of the most important issues, especially for the muslims living in 'non-muslim' countries. (The muslims living in 'muslim countries' don't consider it an issue; They think everything is halal, by default, there). While going through the following sites, please keep in mind that different 'musliks' interpret halal differently. There is a big difference between 'halal' and 'zabiha halal'.
Zakat:
Read about two types of zakat here
Prayer Times:
It's important to perform Salat during their prescribed times. It's important to follow your 'musluk', so when finding the prayer times, don't forget to check the box for your 'musluk'.
Some people ask this question that, 'how can a person pray in some part of the world where there are no regular 24-hour days, for example, in Alaska?' I tell them, 'exactly the way they eat 3 meals and sleep at certain intervals.'
