• Apr 18, 2010 - Managed to gather entrymates and families for a dinner and gup shup at DHA Club, Lahore. Misdaq Hussain made the arrangements. Waqar, Khokar and Shahzad Malik were the hosts. Dilshad came from Pindi. Rizwan Rasool was in the city so he joined us too. Enjoy some photos from the link on the left.

  • Feb 25, 2010 - Ijaz Munir got appointed as Secretary Population Welfare. Aamir Ashraf got appointed as Secretary Punjab Tourism. Bravo!!

  • May 3, 2009 - We got together for some gupshup and dinner at Avari, Lahore. Waqar and Fawad were the hosts. Samoon pleasantly surprised us by joining. He was in town. He lives in New York and makes frequent humanitarian visits to the northern areas. Enjoy some photos at left.

  • Jan 1, 2009 - Mr Javaid Iqbal (Physics teacher and Asst. House Master, Iqbal wing, in our days at CCH) was in Lahore so Imran Mahmood hosted a dinner in his honor at the Gymkhana. Mr Javaid is living in Montreal for the last 20 years. His email address is jaavaidikbal@hotmail.com. A good number of our entrymates turned up at the dinner.   • Nov 30, 2008 - Arranged a family dinner for the 22nd entry, in Lahore, hosted by Faisal Sultan, Nayab, Khurram and me. It was arranged in the backyard of Faisal's house in Shaukat Khanum hospital. Everyone enjoyed the gathering, the dinner, and Anwaar Ahmed Khan's real life jokes. He was in town by chance. Dilshad came from Rawalpindi and Farooq Niazi from Multan. Rest were Lahori. As always, we promised to make it a regular event :)

  • Jan 27, 2008 - Attended AGM and reunion at Hasanabdal. It was good to see many entry-mates after a long time (after 28 years to be exact). There were, Shahzad Akhtar, Imran Akhtar,Zahid Khawaja, Shuja Alam(met him after 22 years-He hasn't changed), Imtiaz Hashmi, Saleem Khan and Shahid Hamid. The regular faces were, me, Farooq Tipu, Imran Mahmood, Haata, Dilshad, Hussain Syed, Umar Farooq Khokar, Kundi, Nayab and Qaisar Rajput. I have updated our entry's directory. Please do visit it from the link on this page. Faisal Manzoor and Farooq Tipu were (s)elected members of the old boys executive committee. Nayyar Islam (15th Entry) was elected as the Secretary General after Faisal Manzoor withdrew his name in his favor.

  • Jan 21, 2007 - Attended reunion at Hasanabdal after a long long time. The following attended it from our entry: Farooq Tipu, Umar Farooq Khokar, Shahid Raza, Dilshad Khan, Hussain syed, Qaisar Rajput, Gohar Yasin, Faisal Manzoor and Khaqan Khan. Khaqan's presence was a pleasant surprise. He lives in Canada and is visiting Pakistan these days. Met him after 20 years. Bukhari Sb and Faqir Sb were there from amongst old teachers. Faqir Sb still looks the same. Bukhari Sb has grown quite old but looks very well active and healthy.(Will put some photos soon.) The college and the reunion had all the usual stuff. The only change was the Shahid's and Khokar's sons among the CCH cadets. We have grown old, man! By the way, you may read the reunion's detail on the association's site.

  • Jan 13, 2007 - Aamer Ashraf is working in Pakistan Embassy in Rome. He visited Lahore lately. Imran Mahmood invited him and others from the entry to a lunch at Gymkhana Club. It was a fun gathering. The following entry-mates were able to attend the lunch: Bukhtiar, Faisal sultan, Farooq Tipu, Gohar Yasin, Irfan Zafar, Kundi, Mudassar Manzoor, Pasha, Rashid Mansoor, Sameen Shaukat, Shahzad Malik and Samoon Ahmad. Samoon was visiting from New York and had a flight back this morning. Luckily, the flight got delayed and so he managed to attend the lunch. I met him after more than 20 years.

  • Dec 3, 2006 - Nayab shaukat and I arranged a family dinner for the 22nd entry. Almost 26 entrymates managed to attend the dinner and most of them brought their kids too. Met Rashid Mansoor after about 28 years. Everyone enjoyed the dinner and the idea of inviting families to such ocassions. We plan to continue this tradition.

  • Jun 30, 2006 - On June 22nd, Adeel Najmi visited Pakistan. We met in Pindi and went to Hasanabdal for some memories revival. We first went to meet Faisal Manzoor. He arranged our meeting with the principal Mr. Dilshad. It was such a pleasure to meet Dilshad Sb. Then, we went for the college round that took us back in the past.   • May 31, 2006 - On May 13th, Gohar Yasin invited the entry-mates to a house warming dinner at his house in Green Fort-III. It was a reasonable sized gathering comprising of his class fellows from Lawrence College, Cadet College, UET and from his MBA class. I have attached a photo album from the occasion.

  • May 11, 2006 - Saadat Panni's father Humayun Khan Panni died in Bangladesh. Ina Lillah hai wa inallah hai raja oon! He was former deputy speaker of Bangladesh Parliament. Condolence can be sent to Panni at his email address drpanni@hotmail.com

  • Mar 06, 2006 - Bilgrami's BankIslami is going IPO today. Out of 200 million shares, he has offered 40 million shares to general public. Application forms can be obtained from various banks and from his web site http://bankislami.com.pk

  • Dec 03, 2005 - Hasan Bilgrami is starting his own bank by the name BankIslami.

  • Oct 13, 2005 - Misdaq Hussain lost his eldest son during the earthquake. Ina Lillah hai wa inallah hai raja oon! Misdaq was stationed at CMH Bagh, AJK. He and his wife got head and spine injuries and are now admitted in CMH Rawalpindi. May Allah Subhan wa Tala give them courage to bear the loss. Please pray for the family.

  • Aug 23, 2005 - Shafqat Hasan performed a successful heart bypass surgery on my mother-in-law. Shafqat has recently returned from UK after living there for several years. He is Cardiothoracic Surgeon / Assistant Professor at Dr. Ziauddin Hospital and Medical University, Karachi. He can be reached at 0333-2293336

  • Aug 07, 2005 - After living in USA for 18 years, Bukhtiar Ishtiaq recently moved back to Pakistan. He has joined Fatima Memorial Hospital in Shaadman, Lahore..... More to come.

  • Jul 16, 2005 - Farooq Tipu took a bold step and invited abdalians friends to a dinner. surprisingly, he managed to gather most of the Lahoris, including more than 20 from our entry. The food was good but the people seem to be more interested in having gup shup with each other than the food. I met Ghayas, Nadeem Shuja, Asad Zaheer after almost 25 years. (wow!!) It was so good to be among so many friends. Asad Sabih Toor was from among the seniors.

  • Mar 2, 2005 - Bukhtiar Ishtiaq came to Lahore for a few interviews. He's planning to move back to Pakistan. Faisal Sultan gathered some friends at Jimkhana Club for a dinner to meet Bakhtiar. Imran Mahmood, Tahir Shah, Faisal Sultan, Ijaz Munir, Khurram Azam, Imran cheema and Aafi(Honorary-Abdalian) were there. We exchanged memories. It felt so good.

  • Feb 17, 2005 - Omar farooq Khokar invited me for a get-together at his house in Canalberg. Occasion: Dilshad was in town. Other invitees were, Azhar Murid, Nayab Shauket, Farooq Tipu, Shahzad Malik and Sameen Shaukat. Met Omar and Azhar after sooooo many years(25-26 years). Shared memories, laughters. It was good to be among old friends. By the way, Dilshad is off to getting married second time :)
